Persistent Petitioners - Crom alternative art - Magic The Gathering

Hey all! This post is mostly for those of you who have been frantically messaging me and searching for the Crom MTG card in the wild. Bu t also to let everyone know what options they have in finding a card or an artist proof card.

I’m not a Magic The Gathering expert by any extent so please bear with me as I haven’t kept up with the game since I was a little kid and used to look at all the fancy cards older kids had with amazing fantasy illustrations.

The Kamigawa Booster pack

This box of the Kamigawa Collector Booster pack has been found by many of you who have recognised the art on the cover. To clarify, my card is not in any of these packs. I was commissioned by The Wizards of The Coast to design the cover art for this set as well as my own MTG card but the two are not related. I know quite a few followers of my work have already been buying this set in the hopes of finding my Petitioners card in there or in some cases expecting to find a whole set of cards with my art but unfortunately its just the cover that has my art on it.

How do I get The actual card?

The Foiled card with my art for the Persistent petitioners is to my understanding a card that comes out as a bonus card in a drop called Secret Lair , and as far as I know its quite unclear as to what exact drop has it and I’ve read online that each pack has a 5% chance to get my card in it. When the card was first released in The US not long ago you could buy it off Ebay from people who found it . I myself dont have the actual playable card. you can look at all the stats and sales of the card on here: SCRYFALL

ARTIST PROOF CARDS

Each artist that works on a card for wizards of the Coast gets sent a set of artist proof copies of the card they work on. the number of cards on the set usually ranges on 30 to 60 cards which makes them fairly limited edition and they are exactly like the playable cards but the back is blank for artists to draw on them or signed and sell at their discretion.

I recieved my artist proofs set a while ago and have been preparing them so I can release some to the public. I’ll make available some of them with a standard Crom skull stamp and my signature as shown below:

I will also make available a few sketched cards in black acrylics that I’ll be packing in wax seals as shown below:

Both, the signed/stamped and the more rare sketched and sealed cards will be available on my site from SUNDAY 20TH OF MARCH at 7pm GMT . If you want one one just make sure to be on Crom.ink that day at that time.
